Green Bag Sunday

Mother's Day Brunch and Silent Auction

For Mother's Day this year, treat the special mom in your life to a delicious family brunch. While your family enjoys time around the table, you'll be helping to send middle and high school students on an amazing and life changing adventure to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.

Before or after your brunch seating, please plan to look through our silent auction items which will be on display upstairs at the Ministry Center. Items will be awarded to the highest bidder with all proceeds going to send students to Snowbird in just over a month.

There will be 2 separate seatings to choose from with a maximum capacity per seating of 50. Reserve your tickets now by paying online or come by the Live Oak Ministry Center to pay by cash or check.

First Seating is 10:30am - 12:00pm

Second Seating is 12:30 - 2:00pm

When you register, be sure to include your entire party!  Seating is limited.

Child Dedication

If you want to place your parenting under the lordship of Christ, this service is for you. The practice of dedicating children is rich in church and biblical tradition. God's word speaks abundantly about the responsibility of parents in passing the torch of faith to their children. This dedication service is more about the parents than the kids. It is you who will stand up in view of your church family and proclaim your intentions to do all within your power to raise your children to know and follow Jesus. It is you who will invite into your parenting both the encouragement and accountability of your Live Oak church family.

We will have the dedication ceremony at both services on May 20th.

Breakfast at High Schools

One of our traditions at Live Oak is to provide breakfast for the teachers and  staff at our local high schools at the end of the school year.  We need you to help us serve and provide breakfast items, casseroles, fruit, yogurt, juice, anything "grab & go", etc.  We will have breakfast on Tuesday, May 29th, and Wednesday, May 30th, at Bluffton High and May River High.  If you can help serve or are interested in donating food items, please contact Christy Long at  This is a great community service project for house churches!
