New Month, New Cause
This October, every 6 check-ins at will provide a day of care to a child in need. We’re working with Reach by Causely and Compassion International to make it happen. You can add #compassion4kids when you check in to promote the cause. For more information about this month’s mission, check out compassion.com.
Green Bag Sunday
This month we are doing something different! Rather than collecting food for Bluffton Self Help we are going to help Family Promise with their socks and underwear drive. These are items that cannot be purchased at thrift stores. So, let’s help Family Promise restock! Below is a list of items needed, in addition when you pick up your green bag this Sunday you will receive a copy of the list.
Underwear and T-shirts in the following sizes: Toddler 2T-5T, boys & girls 6/7 - 8/10, Women 6-12, Men M-XL
Socks: Toddler 4-7, boys & girls 8-13, Women 9/11, Men 10/13
Join us THIS SUNDAY, October 7th, at Oscar Frazier Park after the second service for our annual church picnic! Bring a dish to share! The church will provide paper products, drinks, and plenty of fried and baked chicken!
Ladies Bible Study
Home. There’s nowhere quite like it. It’s a safe place, a place of belonging, the place we feel secure. And if we’re honest, at our core we all long for home. Our longing might be sprinkled with nostalgia or laced with pain, but regardless, we all feel the ache of homesickness in our hearts.
God is a homemaker. He created the earth for us to live in and He’s preparing a place for us to spend eternity with Him. Jesus came, died, and rose again so we could become part of His family—a family with the inheritance of eternity.
In this 5-part series, author and Bible teacher Jen Pollock Michel takes us on a journey through Scripture to uncover the meaning of home. We’ll discover our holy yearning for a place to belong, how God provides that place for us, and how we can model His hospitality in our lives each day.
Ladies, join us at the Ministry Center on Tuesday, October 30th, for our ladies Bible study, at 6:30pm. Be sure to register!
