Bluffton Self Help

Be sure to bring back your green bag filled with pasta and sauces this Sunday for Bluffton Self Help!  On a weekly basis, Bluffton Self Help provides groceries for over 500 people who face food insecurity.  Our monthly donations are a big help in keeping the pantry shelves full.    #recklessgenerosity

Church Work Day

Join us Saturday for a work day at both the Ministry Center and the Bluffton School of Dance.  We need 2 teams of folks who can help with repairs, painting, cleaning, and organizing.  Meet at the Ministry Center and then we will divide and conquer!  This is a great serving opportunity for families.  Be sure to register so we know how many we can count on!

Volunteer Training Day

We LOVE our volunteers!  Thank you for serving!  God has given us all unique talents and skills and we can use them all!  If you are a current volunteer, ready to start serving, or just thinking about serving, this training is for YOU!  Join us on August 26th at the Ministry Center at 9:00am.  This training will go over requirements and expectations of each position.  We will be asking you to sign up to begin volunteering in September.  If you would like more information on volunteering at Live Oak, click here.  You can review our volunteer Guide and Volunteer Handbook.  Be sure to register for the training day.

Engagement Pathway

If you are new to Live Oak or even if you've been here awhile and haven't connected yet, our Engagement Pathway is THE PLACE to start.  It kicks off on Sunday, August 20th with a free guest lunch at the Ministry Center at 1:00pm.  Join some of leadership for an afternoon of food and fellowship.  Get to know a little more about us in a relaxed atmosphere over lunch.  Be sure to register so we can ensure there is plenty of food!

The next step is Baptism.  If you are ready to take this step in your faith, we would love to celebrate with you!  Our next Baptism Sunday is August 27th.  One of our pastors would love to meet with you (or your kids, if they are ready) to discuss baptism and answer any questions.  You can request a meeting with a pastor on the website under events.

The last step is our Launch Class (membership class).  Pastor Michael walks through our history, beliefs, mission, values, and vision.  You will also learn how to connect to house churches, studies, classes, and serving opportunities.  Launch Class is scheduled for Tuesday, August 29th, at 7:00pm at the Ministry Center (14 Palmetto Way).
