First Annual Fancy Shmancy Christmas Part-Tay
It's finally here!!! This Saturday, at the Bluffton School of Dance, at 6:00pm. Be sure to bring a new, unwrapped toy for ages 9-12 for Bluffton Self Help!
Be prepared, the parking lot is going to have a large tent in place for overflow. Therefore, parking will be on the street, at the school, and at the childcare center. For those needing handicapped parking, we will have a few spaces available (hopefully). It will be very busy. We have 200 people registered! That's a great problem to have!
Dress code is festive wear - you can come Fancy or you can come Shmancy! Don't forget we are having an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest.
Lastly, we do need a few more volunteers for childcare that evening. It will broken up into two 45 minute shifts, if you can help contact Pastor Eric at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Last year we kicked off our Greater initiative to fund our move to the Bluffton School of Dance and to start working toward our future. On January 7th & 8th, Pastor Michael will host dessert events to bring everybody up-to-date on this initiative. If you aren't sure what the Greater initiative is, this is an opportunity to learn about our vision and find out why Live Oak is greater...still! These events are for everyone. Be sure to register, so we can be sure there are plenty of desserts for everyone!
We are very fortunate that on Christmas Eve, we get to leave all of our equipment set up at the Bluffton School of Dance. However, on New Year's Eve, we have to tear down just like a normal Sunday. With folks traveling, we know this is going to take some help! If you are available on New Year's Eve and can help tear down after the 10:45 service, please let us know. You can contact the office (email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org), put it on your connect card, stop us in the hallway...just tell us "Yes, I can help!" As always, many hands make for light work! #recklessgenerosity, #asimpleactofkindness
Year End Giving
As a reminder if you as a business or just as a family would like to make a year end gift for tax purposes, please know that anything above our regular budget will applied to debt reduction. Wouldn't it be wonderful to start 2018 debt free?!
As a reminder, the office will be closed December 25, 2017 - January 1, 2018.
