Women's Bible Study

We’ve all got our issues! Maybe you feel like life just isn’t going your way, or you’re afraid that you don’t measure up to other people’s expectations. Perhaps you have a hard time managing your temper or have someone in your life you just can’t forgive. We deal with our “issues” every day in one form or another; the problem is, after a while, they start to feel . . . normal. Unchanging. Just part of who we are. And we forget that we have access to the power of Christ―a power that can transform our everyday weaknesses into our greatest strengths and gifts.

30 Hour Famine (Student Ministry)

The 30 Hour Famine is an event open to any middle and high school students.  This year students and leaders will be focusing on the issue of local food insecurity.  Many in Beaufort Co, do not know where their next meal will come from.  For 30 hours, we will intentionally give up things we daily take for granted, specifically food and comfortable shelter, for the purpose of learning more about God’s heart for the chronically hungry through games, service projects, worship and bible study.  Students will spend the night in their very own Cardboard Condo.  This is a BYOCb event (Bring Your Own Cardboard).  Cost is $20 per person.  Students will attend the 10:45 service at Live Oak Christian Church and then break their fast together over lunch.

Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters Summer Camp 2018

Live Oak students (middle school & high school) will once again attend Snowbird June 11-16, 2018!  Summer Camp at Snowbird is all about pointing students to the Gospel. Offering nearly two-dozen recreation options, we are committed to high-adventure recreation. More than that, we are committed to Gospel-centered discipleship. Our summer camps host worship services twice per day, engaging students through song, expositional preaching, drama and video, in addition to daily breakout sessions that cover a wide range of relevant topics, from apologetics and missions to relationships and Bible doctrine. Each day concludes with small group sessions, allowing our staff to engage students in personal relationships and encouraging youth groups to grow as a community.
